Hello! I hope that your week is off to a great start!
I wanted to share a few tips about menopause with you today.
If you’re having hot flashes and/or night sweats there are definitely a few things that can help.
First you need to balance your nutrition by focusing on a whole foods diet – foods found naturally on this planet – fruits, vegetables and whole grains such as oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa, seeds and water.
The foods to avoid include; coffee, sugar, spicy foods, cinnamon, ginger and alcohol, as these will increase the hot flashes and night sweats.
It’s also important to take a multivitamin to support your body through these changes, in particular to prevent bone, muscle mass and memory loss. Some good multivitamin brands include Douglas Labs, Rainbow light and Thorne Research.
And last but not least you should have your estrogen, TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) and progesterone levels tested. A decline in these hormones is what causes the majority of menopause symptoms. If your levels are low you may need further support with hormone promoting supplements or bio-identical hormones.
I hope this helps!
Best,
